About Forge of Light Foundation
Forge of Light Foundation is a 501(c)(3) public charity (EIN: 33-2599893) serving youth and families across Juneau and Southeast Alaska. Our mission is to expand access to disciplined martial arts training and mentorship that strengthens character, builds resilience, and develops leaders rooted in respect, responsibility, and service.
Why Martial Arts
Martial arts training provides structure, accountability, and a clear standard. Students learn to handle pressure, regulate emotions, resolve conflict responsibly, and build confidence without aggression.
Youth Empowerment (YEMAL)
Our Youth Empowerment in Martial Arts & Leadership initiative integrates Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, self-defense, mentorship, and leadership development in a safe, structured environment that strengthens families and builds durable life skills.
How We Operate
We fund scholarships, mentorship supports, and program resources. Training delivery is coordinated in partnership with Alliance Jiu-Jitsu Juneau, while Forge of Light Foundation maintains nonprofit oversight and public accountability.
